In today's modern world, technology has evolved in almost every industry. The skill of coding is no longer limited to computer scientists and software engineers but has become essential for professionals in various fields. It's no longer enough to be computer illiterate in the workforce, and coding has become a hot topic. Many famous figures, such as Mark Zuckerberg, Obama, and Bill Gates, encourage young people to learn to code. As Steve Jobs once said, "Everybody in this country should learn how to program a computer because it teaches you how to think."
I have always been fascinated by highly intelligent individuals and their creativity 🎨. Their ability to think creatively and develop problem-solving skills 🧠 inspired me to learn coding 💻

Apart from the fact that coding looks good on a resume, coding involves a lot of technical thinking which helps boost problem-solving and logic skills. These skills are valuable not only in programming but also in everyday life and in various professions.
Opens Doors to Career opportunities:
One major reason why you should learn to code is that coding is the fundamental skill for technical jobs so learning to code makes it easier to get a job. And even if you're applying for a position that has no direct connection with coding, it is still well-known as a useful skill. Hence, having any knowledge of it(Coding literacy) will give you a foot up on the competition.
Understanding how to code can boost confidence:
Knowing that you possess a skill that's highly sought after in the job market can increase your self-confidence. This sense of empowerment can lead to a passion for coding, a field that is continuously evolving and presenting new challenges. The more you learn, the more you'll want to know more. This knowledge will enable you to solve more complex problems in a shorter period.

Coding is also a form of art, especially when you actually bring your own creative ideas to life. Learning to code gives you the tools to invent that cool website, app, animation, or even video game that you have always dreamed of 🎉🚀

Like most of us, you have probably heard that coding is difficult. But I have got good news for you, which is that "anybody can learn how to code". Regardless of your age, academic background, or even how fast or low your learning ability is at the moment. You can still learn it. it doesn't take several years to learn and it doesn't cost much either. The fun fact is that you can actually learn to code for free.. from the comfort of your home online.
How to Get Started with Coding:
Now that you understand why coding is a valuable skill, you are probably wondering how to start your coding journey. From choosing the right programming language to finding beginner-friendly resources to start with. I'll be sharing some of the materials that helped me kick-start my coding journey in a bit. By the way, I personally would recommend the top three(3) in the list below, because those platforms guided me from a complete beginner to a more confident level. And I advise you to start with HTML and CSS courses first. Below is a list of online coding platforms you can sign up with if you want to start learning how to code now.
